Modules of GRE

The GRE is a reasoning test with three basic topics: Verbal, Quantitative assessment and Analytical Writing. 

Eligibility for GRE

The minimum qualifications require that the candidate should have the science graduate Degree. In addition, the student needs to clear two exams, first the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and second, the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

Science Graduate (Final year): This is the best time to prepare for the GRE and TOEFL. You are encouraged to spend 4 and 6 months in your preparation and take the GRE and TOEFL when you finish your final year of graduation. Then you can apply to graduate colleges for MS and PhD programs.

Engineering: If you are an Engineering graduate, you should take the GRE before December end. You should begin preparing for the GRE as soon as possible. Typically it takes at least 2 and 3 months to complete the preparation. Also, you need to give 1 and 2 months for preparing and sending your applications.
