IELTS, the international English Language testing System, is designed to assess the language ability of candidates who wants to work or study where English is used as the language of communication.

IELTS examination will be usually required for students who wish to apply for further studies in Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom.


Band scores are recorded on a Test Report form, showing overall ability as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking.

There are 9 Bands :

Band 1 Non-user : Essentially has no ability to use the language broken sentences or a few words.

Band 9 Expert user : Has fully operational command of the language; appropriate, accurate and fluent with complete understanding.
